“This isn’t an easy watch – it’s thoroughly entertaining but concentration is needed, and even then, there will be moments of wondering what the hell is going on, but that seems wonderfully appropriate for The Interpretation of Dreams.” Fairypowered ★★★★

Le Pecq, the western suburbs of Paris. A big empty house. It’s the very end of a party. Only a handful of people left. Marcellus sits on his own, killing a bottle of whiskey and chain-smoking.
He hasn’t been feeling right recently, not since he first started seeing… it.

DAKAR, SENEGAL
Monkhead co-founder Nico Pimparé directed a mixed French and Wolof adaptation of Julius Caesar, developed and staged with Senegalese young adults from Guediawaye, one of Dakar’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
Based on Victor Hugo’s translation, with parts translated into Wolof by local participants. It included live rap and a site-specific element – actors representing ‘the crowd’ were dispersed through the festival’s mosh pit.
It was performed at Voice4Thought International Hip Hop festival as a response to political radicalisation in West Africa, and was supported by G-HipHop and high profile Senegalese rapper Fou Malade of Y’en a Marre.
